2015 South Carolina Male Achievement

The SC Male Achievement Conference promotes and uplifts male achievement among men and boys of color. We invite fathers, boys and their families from all over the state to come spend the day networking and becoming empowered. THANKS to the support from great sponsors, planning committee members, and volunteers, the 2015 Male Achievement Conference was a LIFE CHANGING experience for 560 confirmed Men and Boys of Color, their families, and community members.

Attendees were from all throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Missouri, California, Delaware, and Illinois to name a few places that we met and made new friends and colleagues. Attendees, especially the Fathers and Young Men RAVED about keynote speeches from Mr. Kenneth Braswell, Director of President Obama’s National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse (in Washington, DC) and Mr. Marcus Lattimore, former USC GREAT, and all of the the workshop speakers and sessions.

During this one-day conference, experts and community members  helped to identify and discuss solutions that will:
  •  Promote and encourage father involvement
  • Teach life skills and study techniques that will lead to high academic performance in minority boys in 7th - 12th Grades
  • Foster healthy, violence free lives and communities
